Award-winning Actress to Guest StarGolden Globe-winning actress Linda Lavin will guest-star as Sophie, Sandy's mother, on THE O.C. Wednesday, March 31 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. In the 1970s, Lavin became a household name as the waitress/mom in the sitcom "Alice." The series ran nine seasons (1976-1985) with Lavin nabbing two Golden Globes and an Emmy nomination for her efforts. Following the success of "Alice," Lavin focused her attentions on the stage and earned renewed respect for her diversified Broadway work in "Broadway Bound," "Death Defying Acts," "The Diary of Anne Frank" and "The Tale of the Allergist's Wife." Recently she appeared in Carol Burnett's autobiographical play "Hollywood Arms" portraying Burnett's grandmother. - OCriffic |
