This whole website kills me. I am actually grew up in "The OC" and it really wasn't like that obviously. It is TV. yeah there are a lot rich people but they live in Laguna Beach or Newport because: A) Way more laid back than LA. B) It is quiet a diversified community rich to poor. Artists to Entrepreneur. It was a great place to grow up and I have no regrets about it except that lame hollywood producers want to make a quick buck. Another thing that you might want to think about. "The OC" isn't even filmed in Orange County. It is filmed in LA. Somewhere in the Malibu Colony I am guessing. Yeah it is entertaning but LA people are much worse than we are.

I've never even seen this show, nor do I have a desire to, but what I find extremely funny is that most people in Los Angeles consider Orange County to be a cultural backwater/wasteland. There are reasons why people call the Orange County cities of Anaheim, "Ana-slime," Garden Grove, "Garbage Grove," Buena Park, "Buena Trailer Park," and La Habra, "Guada-La Habra."
They may as well have named the show "San Joaquin Valley," and had a pilot episode about a guy from Bakersfield who moves to more "upscale" Visalia or something.
