I think Tate is the most underrated actor on "The OC'. His characters relationship his Marissa is the most convincing Father-Daughter relationship on TV.

I definately agree. I see them using Tate a whole lot more, soon. We'll see though.

In either People Mag or US Weekly there was a feature on the people the cast of Friends dated. Jennifer Aniston dated Tate Donovan. Shocking!!

I didn't say shocking because I couldn't believe they crossed paths. I said "shocking" b/c she is J. Aniston, one of the most beautiful people in the world and he is just average. I mean, she was capable of becoming the one woman Brad Pitt would commit himself to for life. That might be a little out of Jimmy Cooper's league. So, I say, still "Shocking!!"

You are well aware that Tate Donovan is not ACTUALLY Jimmy Cooper, right? While Jimmy Cooper may be just average and may never be able to land Rachel Greene, we actually know nothing at all about Tate Donovan and Jennifer Aniston.

Who hasn't dated Jennifer Aniston, or at least someone from the friends cast? It's got to suck to be a celebrity trying to find true love, 'cause they always screw it up.

I think Tate Donovan is the hottest old guy ever! such a good actor.... and he is like an older version of Seth.. anyone agree?

You may see him as average now, but if you want to see hot Tate Donovan, go rent the movie Space Camp. He was smokin then! The movie came out in 1986 so he was 22 then.
As you can tell from my screen name, I love Tate, and I still think he's smokin now! He's just a more mature smokin like Kevin Costner or George Clooney (who happens to be a very good friend of his).
Tate is actually far from average. He's a really nice looking guy. He is wearing his hair shorter for The OC. I wonder if the producers told him to so that he looked more fatherly. He had longer hair on Friends. Of course, that has been 6 years now.
I don't get why everyone says it's shocking that Jennifer dated Tate. He is a hottie, and he is DEFINITELY in her league. And before you ask, no I'm not 40.......not even close. I just appreciate an attractive man when I see one.
Like I said, rent Space Camp or Memphis Belle (which also features Sean Astin of Lord of the Rings). You'll see Tate in a totally different way after that!
