Hahaha yea I was one of those weird kids who loved to read. My friends still make fun of me because I'm one of the only people who actually likes summer reading.

The book is called the Outsider and I think its basically just the story of Ryan coming to Newport, I can't wait to buy it!! I hope they do loads more story books, anything OC related is cool!!

oooooooo so it's not like a behind the scenes thing? It's like just re-telling the story of when Ryan came to Chino? Like when the book comes after the movie?

Has anyone read the first chapter? I have. It sucks ass. I like the tv version much better thank you.

The OC book, The Outsider basicly isthe Pilot episode through The Escape just written and covers the main problems in the show. The book however focuses more on Ryan Marissa Seth and Summer than Sandy and the other adults. It also adds stuff in like Marissa going shopping with Summer before Ryan comes the Cohens and interaction between Ryan his brother and Teressa before he steels the car ( starting the Pilot ep ). There also are some pics in the middle of the book. Personally I liked the book, but i still perfer watching The OC. I'd give the book an 8/10. Oh, there is going to be a second book called THE MISFIT supposedly to be released in October. Hope this helps somebody.

It's about Ryan coming to Newport and also about Marissa in the Fashion show,The Model House burning down,Ryan seeing his mom Dawn,Marissa sleeping with Luke cause he'd always pressure her and get mad when she didn't want to at first and finding out he is not faithful to her....
Casino Night where Seth was Summer's Lucky Charm,Marissa crying Summer Hugging her on the beach and then when Summer Leaves a minute to get the others comes back finding Marissa gone..
and Marissa Overdosing on the pills and Ryan finds her and says goodbye maybe forever....It's a few OC Episodes In that book....I read it and finished in in 3 and a half days..It was good..
