A friend sent this to me:
"The O.C." Squeezed
You know you've made it in Hollywood when people start suing you for allegedly stealing their ideas. USA Today reports that two writers have filed a $10 million suit against "O.C." creator Josh Schwartz, claiming they came up with the concept for the angst-ridden hit Fox series.
Scott Donnelly and Erik Lindsay allege they had an agreement with Schwartz to work on a series titled "The Pointes." Schwartz, they say, cut them out of the loop and pitched "The O.C.," which quickly brought him fame and fortune. No word on who is claiming credit for creating the scene-killing, life force-sucking Marissa Cooper character, but when we found out, we may file a suit of our own.

oh. it says 1970 when i look at it.. probably cos of British time setting.
anyway, this thing is WAY old... suspiciously, the net wasn't even invented back then.. was it?
