in the summer of 2003, josh schwartz brought viewers into the lives of orange county's
rich, fabulous, and sinfully scandalous through the eyes of the ultimate outsider, chino
ex-convict ryan atwood. america watched the citizens - and ryan - grow into completely
different people, going through deaths, departures, and even births and heartbreak,
for four years, and they will never be forgotten. after all, the kids of the oc have our
hearts, right?

right back where we started from ...

what if we could go back? better yet, what if we could go back and change things around?
we could decide what happened to the baby that kirsten aborted before going to berkeley?
if the atwoods weren't from chino, and if they were a happy family? a world where marissa
cooper wasn't popular, and she was friends with seth cohen? what would that be like?
if taylor townsend was popular and was battling marissa for ryan - who would ryan pick?
what if the convict sandy and kirsten took in wasn't ryan, but alex kelly instead? and if
luke and marissa weren't dating? and summer, holly, taylor, luke, and zach were the
best of friends? and seth wasn't going to flee newport at the first chance he got? what
would happen then.

well, now's the chance. ryan and the rest of his family are well-off and living in the gated
community on their own, and alex has just been taken in by the cohens when her huge
family as abandoned her in search of their own futures or jail times. marissa isn't the social
butterfly of the school, and is best friends with seth cohen. all of the 'twisted' fantasies
have come true, and now is the time to play them out. so where will you be when the
first chords come on and you start to hear

its a roleplay site for the oc. i dont know if uve roleplayed before on forums where u do it all in one thread... this pretty much spreads it out. The whole site is one large roleplay. If things go well, you have a whole lot of characters, and that's why we have a whole lot of locations on the site... so you can keep track better of whats going on (if you want). For example, if you want to set a scene on the beach, you find the beach thread. I swear it looks way more hardcore than it is. I'm not the person who put this RP together, but I think the girl who made it wants it to look more... complicated than it really is. It's pretty laid back, actually. There is a chat box to the left of the site if you have any questions about applying or anything! I'll check by here some more, too, if you've got any specific questions!

and by the way, we've still got a whole lot of characters available. Seth and Summer are still up for grabs, as are some other characters that have a big role in the roleplay. It's a little bit of an alternate universe... but not a whole lot.

haha, not exactly. by alternate universe I more mean that a few things are different from the way thigns are in the show.

For ex:
Marissa isn't popular. Summer and Marissa were kind of outcasts whenthey were young but Summer joined the popular ranks. Marissa stayed back and is now best friends with Seth.

Ryan doesn't live with the Cohens. His family just moved to Newport because they won the lottery... or something like that.

Alex Kelly is the troubled one who moved in with the Cohens.

stuff like that.

yeah... im kind of trying to get the girl who made it turn the site into somethign a little more simple. I can help you figure it out, though, if you want to apply. I can tell you where to find what you need to apply.

Basically, there is an application sort of thing. You fill out things like what the character looks like and personality stuff... just to prove that you actually know who the character is (if you are applying for a canon, pre-existing character) or that you actually put thought into creating a character if its an original.

There's also a section where you write an example post so we know that you can write, because we try to have at least several sentences in our posts. I'd write a couple paragraphs mainly. The girl who created the site said she wants a link to a sample of the person's writing, but I personally think that's a bad idea since, let's face it, not everyone has done an RP site like that before and she seems to be going on the assumption that everyone has.

There is also a place where you're supposed to enter a 'password.' Basically its a phrase that is hidden in the thread that has the rules of the site to make sure people know to write in third person, that they can't write posts that control other characters, to respect others, etc. It doesn't actually say "the password is ___" but it definitely stands out and has nothing to do with the rest of the rules.

Seriously, if you are interested, I can help you figure the site out. Once you are a part of the site, its pretty straightforward. You just decide that you want to have a thread with so and so and start something up. And create drama. It really is a lot of fun.
