Yeah, I don't really agree either, cuz i really like R/T, Bullit, and S4 in general.
BUT i also agree that a person has a right to their own opinion. I don't find tanibop pathetic, stupid, or w/e just b/c he/she stated their opinion. Not everybody has to agree.

I am so indescisive about season 4. The things I like about it are also the things i hate about it, which is completely contradicting...But Ill say them anyway,
Firstly...Che SUCKED. So not a good character. Ok, maybe he was funny for like the first 2 eps he was in but after that I was like wtf..
It was good Summer showed an interest in animals and stuff, but it was also annoying. Sometimes it looked like her heart wasnt really in it but she just useds it as a distraction to escape the reality of marissas death.
Raylor-this is where I am very indesisive. They were fresh and new together, but at times it was like watching a big joke. And noone wants to see their fave show turned into a joke...
Taylor herself..PRos, beter than marissa because the world wasnt revolved around her.
Cons, her stupid french husband shit...god, that made me hate her. I mean how many teens get married to a random french guy? Not even marissa wouldhavr done that..
Also, taylor spoke wayy too fast for my liking....it got annoying after a while.
Ryan-start of the season, bravo, ANGRY guy. Thats what makes him good. But then he became all soft and stupid. Trying to compete with a love-poem writing french guy, what the hell! Hes supposed to be beating people up..
Julie and Bullit-Bullit was ok. But julie was weird this season. Cant quite put my finger on it. Maybe it was her lack of evil.
Julie and frank-wtf, stupidest couple ever. He like spent fiveminutes wit her and already they were in 'love'.
Thats pretty much all the rambling i can handle for one day..

I obviously have not been on OCFiles for a while now, but please, S4 was a shame to The O.C
I'm not trying to bitch and criticize everything in s4, but I think that it definitley changed my appeal to The O.C.
A) We always have known Julie to be the wild one, to take chances and make mistakes. Perhaps that would be her ultimate motto, so I was real dissapointed that they made her Ms. Goody-Good Queen of Newport, instead of "Bitch of Newport". A better idea for Julie in s4 would be for her just to spend time with Kaitlyn and to realize all the neglect she put to Marissa. It didn't mean she had to go prove to everyone she was good, the whole Frank/Julie was a mistake. Bullit made Kaitlyn happy. That would be the best thing for the family.
Some might argue and say, "oh well, they wanted to make Julie marry someone out of love rather than for money" but I like to argue. A) one reason why she didn't marry Bullit was b/c of sex. She simply didn't want to have wrinkly sex when she and Bullit got older. and B) Caleb, I agree, she married for money. However, Bullit simply loved Julie for who she was. He didn't care about all her flaws, and that she wasn't committed. He still wanted to get her.
B) Summer was an UTTER, DISSAPOINTMENT. And this is coming from a girl who was voted Biggest Summer fan on FB. I love the girl. Scratch that, I loved her in s1, s2 and s3. S4? NOOO.
The animal-saving at first I didn't mind - she was doing it to distract herself from dealing with the loss of Marissa. Then, all of a sudden Josh makes it official: SUMMER IS A HIPPY. LIKE, OMFGGG... how did a girl first inspired by Prada turn into THIS. Of course I wanted her to smarten and be bright in Brown, but animal-saving is a WHOLE different level. I still believe that Josh was on crack when he made that S/L up.
Plus, the thing was, it looked like she DIDN'T want to be animal-saving. When she hung with Holly that time, she seemed more passionate in that than saving stupid animals. Overall, s4 with Summer was cold and bitter. She was TOTALLY out of tune. I know tragedies can affect people, but she just lost herself....
B) Seth, the all-time guy I love seriously had no storyline besides helping people. I swear, it's if they killed off BOTH Marissa and Seth. The guy was like invisible, I felt totally bad. I don't think Adam was bothered much by leaving The O.C b/c he wasn't even getting anything fun over there in s4.
PLAIN AND SIMPLE: S4 + Seth = bad comb.
C) As much as I LOVED Taylor in s3, it still irks me that she turned from Korean-loving prep to marrying a smelly French guy and suddenly in all this trouble (just like Marissa). I know you guys might hate Marissa, but why? The girl was FUN. F-U-N. Taylor was just fucking insane. Annoying and very controlling. If any girl should be hated that much it should be her. Maybe I hate Taylor for screwing up Ryan, but the girl totally turned me off in s4. Josh simply had no mind when he made Taylor into this...
D) OKAY. HOW THE f%$# DOES a guy change from punching people to being Mr. Soft??? The first couple episodes were total, genuine Ryan Atwood. PROPS. But then Taylor gave him this BAD affect, like, "NOW, YOU KNOW? IMMA SHOW THE WORLD THAT I'M MR. SMILES!" Having a dark cloud over you was NEVER the case, but Ryan was always very in his own world; brooding. And we loved that. Seriously, who wouldn't? Ryan appealed me in s1-s3, but in s4 I think I lost all taste in him..
E) Kirsten and her pregnancy was fucking annoying. I swear, she was like Mother Theresa in s4. I wanted to kill her. WTF happened to her drinking/!??!?! i loooved that. now THAT'S good news, not another fucking baby.... ugh. And Sandy was just bland in s4. Not knowing where to go, kinda like Seth.
F) Seth and Summer lacked any sort of fluff. Why Josh gave RT better moments? I'll never know... Seth and Summer deserved WAYYY fucking more than that. And please don't bullshit me about their wedding which was all a scam. I'm talking about a 10-sec wedding - not even a freaking kiss! They jepped me in s4 with SS. The couple I love the most killed me.
G) I can't even say anything about RT except HATE. In a way, Taylor replaced Marissa waaaaay too quickly. She wanted to prove she was WAY better when she was actually WAY worse.
and ergg... the rest: gotta sum it up: s4 wasss the pits.

This is what I'm saying to all S4 haters, in a long and realistic way not insulting or any of that.
First, all that has happened is character development. Characters develop, they have to change. Sometimes the change isn't of your like, but it is necessary in it's moments. Marissa became such a center to the show in S3 (the actual center) that killing her off was almost their only option to change everything. Would we want another crappy season like S3? Would we want Marissa to be the spotlight? Sandy and Kirsten to becoming the hottest adult couple to the most boring and sometimes disfunctional one? Would you want Seth lying to Summer in every chance he gest? That's just bad. Character development makes and changes a character into a whole new personality which it is what happened in S4.
After the death of Marissa how was everyone supposed to take it? Would you want 16 episodes of Ryan cagefighting and throwing off pictures? No. Would you want Summer ignoring the fact that Marissa did die and change her? No. Would you want Julie to be a drunk and still a cold mother? No. Even though those are realistic changes, they all had to get over Marissa's death and they got over it in the most obvious, but yet true ways.
Ryan found a girl that was excentric and funny and who put a smile on his face and that actually made him happy which is what Ryan needed at the moment instead of him moping about Marissa. You had your several episodes, Marissa fans, you had the conclusion to Marissa denial in The Chrismukk-huh?. You got what you needed to see. Maybe not a funeral, maybe not a coffin, but you got some nice mentions in various episodes.
Summer. She couldn't have been the same Summer from the first 3 seasons obviously. Because if she would you would actually say that she acted like she doesn't care. Her trying to avoid Marissa in a person who she isn't is one of the most realistic things in real life. Losing a friend isn't that easy and sometimes the sudden change to realizing that that friend won't be there any longer is difficult and it sometimes hits some people pretty hard. It's obvious Summer had to be depressed and that her disconnection with Seth would happen. But her disconection with Seth was actually needed to see how Seth tried to reach Summer's new change and new way of stuff. It is obvious that Summer could just change and then see Seth and her doing couple stuff all the time. It is obvious they would have changes and that it would be hard for Seth to adapt, but it is real stuff going on. Real storylines about how some stuff changs and how you need to adapt and better yet in the end hey did. They did adapt and they got married, they over passed their worries and got married. The followed their dreams and got married. So, you will have to say that as much as Summer was different and Seth didn't follow her change as much, it is real life stories and they are true and even better that it ended in the best way.
Julie would never be a bitch after Marissa's death. She had a big sex drive in the first couple of episodes to cope with Marissa, but then she changed. She changed to a CARING mother which she was never with Marissa. She became into a nice woman, not independent in the whole season, but she had a niec connection with Kaitlin. She noticed that she didn't do a good job as a mother with Marissa and she wanted to correct this with Kaitlin and so she did and that's also real life stuff. Would you want Julie doing whore crap like in S1? It is best that actually 2 men followed Julie instead of Julie following them and at the very end even having her own child, independently, and graduating and she even raised Kaitlin to a proud daughter. So, that is best than a off in the loop Julie.
Seth...so some say he was boring this season. But what did he have to do?? He got to adapt to Summer, to view mourn, to try to help family to do stuff he never got the chance in previous seasons. He was growing up and you realize all of this in episode 8 where he was still a child soul and in the end he overpassed the situation and acted like a grown up which he did turn into.
Taylor, oh, Taylor. She saved the show, not only Ryan. Without Taylor's happiness The OC would be pure gloom. Taylor brought such a spice to the show that actually made the show funny and alive. Making Taylor's nut-so stuff going on and everybody really evolving around it and actually turning to liking it. Changing Ryan into a nice guy who doesn't punch everyone at the moemnt he sees it. She made so many stuff and added so much to the show and SHE was the one to make everyone move on. SHE was the one to make everyone smile. SHE was the one to demonstrate that a simple character with a laugh life can actually better everything.
Kirsten and Sandy became a married couple for Gods sake. Maybe not as hto as S1, but they became a couple again. Please, would we want anoher season for almost cheating on each toer and bothering with hospitals bull shit? They were preocupied parents trying to do whats best for their children, trying to figure stuff out, to make everyone survive Marissa's death. I might admit Sandy was a bit out there in S4, but they made the role they needed to do. Good parents, in love, no drama, helpful, the Kirsten and Sandy that lived behind curtains in S2 and S3, and that those curtains opened in S4 again. They were Kirsten and Sandy, the moral center of the universe once again.
About R/T. Taylor replacing Marissa? BULLSHIT. She wasn't worse or as I'd loved to say better, but she was DIFFERENT. She wasn't that dramatic girl who needed painkillers to kill her pain. Taylor was definitely a big change for everyone. Someone who made Ryan smile which Marissa did not always accomplish, but in moments she did. Someone who made Summer do the right stuff and the only friend who was there after Marissa died. She actually SAVED them all from drowning in Marissa pity and she wasn't worse at tall. She might have her friends, her boyfriend, and even her room, but they're totally different and different in a good way. Taylor is what saved the show.
S4 in review: realistic brilliance.

i love season 4 too much better than season 3 the only thing i don't like about season 4 it's there only 16 episodes if they orderd 224 ou 22 that "6 months" could be developed wich could be great. i don't hate season 3 but it's the worst for me too much drama johnny brooke his knee, and then dies, ryan and marissa brooke up by telephone they could even brooke up face to face?? marissa kicked out, seth can looke into summer eyes and tell her that he doesn't love him anymore jsut because he didn't want to tell him he didn't got into brown??? damn in season 1 premier i was thiking it would be much better , but not evrything is bad i loved teh fact that julie changes becase she hits rock bottom and she has to live in teh trailler park, seth smoking weed, sandy almost be the next caleb nichol, the return of kaitlin cooper and teh end of marissa it's not i don't liek her it's because swhatever she wasn't with ryan she becames crazy, drunk, doing drugs, dating the surf nazi, skiping class in season 2 ok... but in season 3 too???
season 4 bring up the comedy of season 1 like i said 24 episodes and would be the best season of all

my favorite movement is form The Dream Lover episode
in this episode Che and Seth take a trip to the forest where Che, after a dream, discovers his spirit might be in love with an unexpected someone. After the trip to the forest, Seth and Summer finally speak. Also, Taylor decides that she can no longer speak to Ryan and Julie works her way back into Kirsten’s life the only way she knows how. Meanwhile, Kaitlin shuts Will out.
