I don't really see how he had a choice. I mean, anything for Kirsten. ANYthing!

I really didn't understand the whole discussion with the DA at the driving range. What was the point of basically telling him that he was about to make a deal with the devil to get the charges dropped against Uncle Sean to protect his wife? Seems like info I'd want kept a secret.

Yeah... the fact that Sandy implied to the DA that he was going to bribe/tamper with a witness was really strange...

The only reason that I can think... remember his conversation with Kirsten at the end...

The DA STILL had a case, even without the "plaintiff" (note to and OC writers reading here, please talk to a lawyer before writing this stuff, criminal cases don't have plaintiffs, they have the prosecution, and it would be the State of California v. Caleb Nichols). The point of the conversation was to make the DA aware that they could lose their star witness.

I think that the point of it, if there was one, was that if their witness disappeared, they should drop the case... The DA got pissed at Sandy, because he more-or-less had to admit that he would drop the case, which was what Sandy was aiming for.

Interestingly, I HOPE that this isn't a point that gets dropped. There should be some repurcussion on Sandy for tampering with a witness... even if it is just the DA harassing him for obstructing justice and Sandy facing a Bar inquiry... As this wouldn't be funny/dramatic, it could be in the background (like Ryan's soccer career, or the students going to class), but I'd like to see that this doesn't just disappear into the ether... Although Sandy's career at the law firm disappeared, after their failed (?!?!?) attempt to hook the temptress up with Jimmy Cooper.
