angry at her mum and she can't cry on any1s shoulder besides summer cause ryans left and shes angry at ryan aswell

wow..a bit dramatic! i mean, i can understand that she feels..well, like that, but the throwing of the chair and table and the 30 sec scream was a bit much. however, the acting itself was very good, so i commend her on that!

lame lame lame lame
after seeing the previews for the last 5 months, i crackerd up laughing and everyone was staring at me in the theater
kids today needing all this therapy and with their ADD, my parents say there wasn't a such thing as ADD and that it was cured from the get-go with a healthy ass whooping for bad behavior
if my parents grounded me from something i didn't sit there and argue, shit, more things would be taken away and for a longer time

Ok from what i can gather and have seen marissa's scream was littered with messages like:
i hate my mom for being the mean bitch she is 
my boyfriend moved away to be with a girl who is pregnant, possibly his child 
I just want to listen my ipod! 
last one was a joke (haha?) but basically marissa is feeling really angry and needs some time to think. her life is supremly screwed up and there isn't much she can do because she is caught in the middle of things.
you can choose to disagree with me completly or fall in love with my thoughts. either way its what i think.

i woulnd't scream but I would get really angry cause she is forced to live with her evil mom and evil stepdad, her Bf has left her and she is at an all time low

I liked the scream!
I would have done the same thing..if i were in her position
marissa has so much built up anger, towards Caleb, Ryan(for leavin), Theresa, and especially her mom...that finally she exploded.
The scream and the throwing of the chair and table represented all that she can't convey in words but what she is dyin to get out.
for god sakes...the boy she lost her virginity too had sex with her mom...that right there is enough for a breakdown.
Everytime she thinks things are shapin up....they just crash down deeper than the time before. She just can't win

I thought Marissa's scream was definitely the highlight of her acting on The O.C.. I mean, honestly, we've all had those times when we were so frustrated and tense that words couldn't really describe how we felt. Imagine Marissa's summer, she'd just gone through her mother having an affair with her ex-boyfriend, her parents divorcing, being held captive by crazy Oliver, her father facing possible jail time, and the one thing she views as having some consistency in her life leaving her to head back home with his pregnant ex-girlfriend. On top of all that, like everyone else has said, she has to live with Julie-the-psycho. I think the scream was great, and I was proud of Mischa Barton for capturing it as well as she did.

I think her scream was really what she is feeling inside.
I have to say, I think she needs a little perspective. Whilst what happed to her is far from nice, she is rich, living in the best part of America, and is making out with a hot garndener who likes her.
Really, while things are screwed up with her mum, it was a little over dramatic.
But yeah, really good acting. I loved the scene.

Marissa is nothing but spoilt little rich girl, and she is used to getting what she wants, so when she doiesn't get it, she throws a paddy! She can't have Ryan because he is in Chino, so she just has a tantrum like the little brat that she is!
