Seth and Ryan are talking about the senior prom on the pier - who will they go with? Theresa? Summer? Each other? Just then, they see Volchok getting to at least first base with some girl who's not Marissa. This one is reasonably shaped and not perpetually grating.
However, the Surf Nazi still agrees to head to prom with Ryan, as does Theresa with Ryan; Taylor, on the other hand, has convinced Summer to go with some random Asian dude in order to make Seth jealous. Meanwhile, of course, Anna is visiting Newport and says she'll go to the prom with Seth if she can't convince Summer to go with him.
The entire awkward gang meets up for pictures at the Cohen's. Summer, naturally, drops off the napkin Seth had written to her months ago stating that she could tell his parents when he messes up next time, on Sandy's desk. From there, it's on to the prom!
During the big event, Summer gets wasted. She then wins queen, even though she hasn't had a friend outside of the core four in years. Shockingly, Marissa then catches Volchok making out big time with yet another skank/ho/tang bucket. She tries to cry, but lack of nutrients in her body makes it really difficult to do so. At the post-party at the Bait Shop, Seth finally comes clean to Summer about all his stupidty. She responds by understanding and then vomiting. Ryan, however, responds to the fact that Volchok stole everyone's money by beating him up a lot.
